Monographs

Monographs contains a growing series of single-topic articles or essay generally accompanied with one graphic.

Each monograph represents an important step in the evolution or transformation of Speech Acts into White Papers and Books.

You will notice that I employ visual explanations – one per monograph! I have incorporated many ideas of Edward Tufte, the brilliant scholar and leading advocate of visual explanations as well as many principles from Neuro-Linguistic Programming and my study of Therapeutic Metaphors, digital storytelling, and speech act theory.

A monograph contains text transcribed from public presentations of Michael Moon, CEO, GISTICS. Thus, the text and the underlying tone, cadence, timbre, and rhythm express the sense ratio of a story told aloud amidst a group of like-minded executives. Think of monographs as visual radio!

More importantly, the process of delivering a cogent presentation using these visual explanations forces me to integrate other facets of anchoring a key point — emotion, anecdote, and frisson — not easily captured in business prose.

As individual monographs, each stands alone. However, I have enumerated them in the general order that I usually present them in a presentation venue.

Let me know how you like them!
